Beaches of Marbesa, Cabopino and the Artola dunes

You're 550 metres from the sand. This is our guide to the beaches of east Marbella: from the quiet beach on our doorstep to the protected Artola dunes, linked on foot by the coastal path.

Our home beach: 550 m away, fine sand and a quiet residential feel. With the beach chairs and parasols from the storage room, going to the beach is just walking down.

The coastal path, on foot along the shore

The seafront path starts right outside: head east and it's about 20 minutes to Cabopino marina, then on towards La Cala and Fuengirola; head west and it links to Marbella and Puerto Banús. Flat and right by the water — and a treat at sunset.

Artola dunes

A protected natural spot: wooden boardwalks through the dunes, the Torre de los Ladrones watchtower standing guard and one of Marbella's most beautiful beaches.

At Cabopino marina and along Marbella's beaches: jet-ski hire, paddle surf, kayaking, parasailing and boat trips. From Puerto Banús, catamaran outings to spot dolphins. The most fun way to dive into the Mediterranean.
